With chapters in all four Atlantic provinces, supports Canadians with intellectual disability and their families by strengthening families, defending rights, and transforming communities into places where everyone belongs.

CADS – Canadian Adaptive Snow Sports

Giving people living with disabilities the opportunity to eliminate barriers that have prevented them in experiencing the Joy and Freedom of Snowsports. There are divisions in each Atlantic province.

ParaSport – Nova Scotia

Supporting all members of the disability community with participation in competitive and recreational sports of their choice.

Kidsport Canada

Supports children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. There are chapters in each of the four Atlantic Canada provinces.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

Helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities.

The Chari-tree Foundation

This foundation has expanded its climate education mandate by helping schools and children’s camps across Canada build outdoor classrooms.

Department of Education – Nova Scotia

Funding for school trips is under the Healthy School Grants allocation.
