Atlantic Canada’s snow resorts offer students safe and healthy outdoor recreation activities. Safety is the top priority at these facilities, ensuring a successful day on the slopes or trails. Make sure to check with your local Schools on Snow resort for their specific safety and risk awareness guidelines and policies.
The following safety standards and guidelines apply to all four Atlantic provinces.
Schools on Snow – Atlantic is an initiative led by the Atlantic Canada Snow Resort Association (ASRA) in collaboration with the Canadian Ski Council. Our aim is to promote and facilitate snow resort activities for all students, ensuring equal access for everyone. We provide Atlantic Canada curriculum-aligned lesson plans, as well as resources and strategies to support educators and students on school trips. Our goal is to remove barriers to access and make winter sports education more inclusive.
